Microsoft Word has long been the bane of the professional designer’s existence—and when clients ask if their projects can be executed and delivered in Word, many designers just roll their eyes. But under the hood of Word is a sophisticated formatting engine, which employs stylesheets that can rival InDesign—you just need to know where the buttons are as well as some of the quirks.
Michelle D. Novak will show us some of Word’s hidden tools (that most people don’t know exist) and how to look at Word and PowerPoint not as a nuisance but a billable—and often highly-profitable—design offering. With the right templates and a bit of client-training, you can produce documents that both you and your clients will be proud to use.
