Positioning is your stake in the ground. It defines your competitive edge and your company’s voice, both internally with your team and externally with your prospects and clients. Chances are, you’ve thought long and hard about what that means for your design business. Join Jennifer Rittner for a positioning workshop in which participants will work collaboratively to develop the positioning strategy for a model design firm. We will talk frankly about the challenges, opportunities and anxieties related to developing a clear positioning strategy and outline the steps needed to develop your firm’s positioning clearly and effectively.
In the five years since Jennifer launched her consultancy, she has worked with dozens of small to mid-size design businesses to define their positioning, establish their communications strategy and develop new business leads. Her goal is to ensure that they develop meaningful relationships with their constituents, nurturing those connections over time and consistently reinforcing their credibility through active engagement.
Prior to consulting, Jennifer worked with AIGA, Columbia University’s Center for New Media Teaching and Learning and international design consultancy Pentagram. In addition, she has taught design management at Parsons the New School for Design and FIT, and has spoken on design management topics at Spark, Evolve, the American Alliance of Museums and AIGA/NY.
Her love of art education has led her to become a docent at the Montclair Art Museum and the Montclair Historical Society, where she advises the latter on communications and PR strategy.
