Join designer, teacher, native New Yorker and lettering Instagrammer Carrie Hamilton on a guided tour of some of her favorite signage in New York City’s garment district.

Despite its having changed significantly since its heyday as the center of the fashion industry, the garment district retains many examples of original signage, such as ghost signs, neon, hand-lettered signs from the mid- to late- 20th century, and carved Art Nouveau and Art Deco entryway signage, among others, all co-existing with the slicker and not-so-slick specimens of today. Carrie will guide a small group of intrepid lettering fanciers on this three-hour tour.

A limited number of discounted student tickets are available for this event. Please email us for more information.

Carrie Hamilton is an award-winning designer and a recent Type Directors Club Member of the Month. She currently teaches graphic design and typography at Pratt Manhattan and the City College of New York.

Space is limited, so sign up right away for this one-of-a-kind event. In the days leading up to the event, ticket purchasers will be emailed the meeting location.
