Mark has been on the forefront of branding for over a decade, working at some of the industry’s most trendsetting agencies. As Executive Strategy Director at Collins, he developed the new positioning for Ogilvy, brought Equinox into the luxury hotel business, and rebranded the largest adult video distributor in Japan. At Landor, Mark was the global creative lead on the Citi account — overseeing everything from credit card development to global brand audits. Additionally, he was a creative director at Ogilvy’s Brand Innovation Group (BIG), has created consumer advertising for HP, and designed fragrance packaging at Cosmair/L’Oreal. Mark frequently speaks and writes on design and branding, and is currently a faculty member of the School of Visual Arts Masters in Branding program.
For over 17 years, his studio Greenberg Kingsley specialized in music packaging and cultural branding, including Central Park SummerStage, the Guggenheim Museum and album packages for John Coltrane, Pat Metheny, Quincy Jones, 10,000 Maniacs, Jewel and Yes, earning him a Grammy nomination. His current studio, Malcontent, serves global advertising firms, tech startups, arts organizations, feminist film makers, cannabis companies, fashion clients, living legends and Pulitzer Prize winners. In 2016 he was profiled in Print Magazine as one of “56 Inspiring Designers Shaping Our World Today.”
