Have you ever thought about designing and creating a product? We're talking to Laura Berkowitz Gilbert, design studio owner and founder of Tocco Studio, about how she turned a passion into a thriving business—and how her graphic design expertise played an important role.
We'll talk to Laura about what made her take the step to start the new business and what she learned about the process. We will also touch on how she gained customers, and how she fulfills orders while still running her graphic design studio. This intimate event has limited seats available, so register early for your chance to ask Laura your questions about starting a product company.
After years working at a leading design firm and an in-house marketing department in New York City, Laura Berkowitz Gilbert founded her design and branding firm, Boomerang Studio, in 2003. She has worked with clients including Americares, Broadridge Financial, New York Magazine and American Express. After years of experimenting with knitting and felting, she launched Tocco (“touch” in Italian) Studio in 2016. Tocco produces hand-knit felted products for the home. Running two businesses concurrently is not for the faint of heart, but she wouldn’t have it any other way.
