• how to decide which ones to write proposals for 

• how to say exactly the right thing when talking numbers, both before and during a project 

• how to find out what the budget is, even if the client says there isn't one!

Ilise Benun is a national speaker and author, founder of Marketing Mentor and co-producer (with HOW Magazine) of the Creative Freelancer Conference. She is a specialist in working with creative professionals who are serious about growing their businesses. Ilise is the author of seven books including, “The Creative Professional’s Guide to Money: How to Think About It, How to Talk About It and What to Do About It,” “The Designer’s Guide to Marketing & Pricing,” and “The Art of Self Promotion. She started her Hoboken, NJ-based consulting firm in 1988 and has a B.A. in Spanish from Tufts University.
