Power Lunch: Firing Your Clients

Join us for our monthly members-only online Power Lunch. Held on the fourth Wednesday of each month, our Power Lunches are an opportunity to discuss the challenges that you face in your business, and learn proven solutions direct from other design business owners in an intimate, transparent setting.

This month we’ll be talking about endings. As business owners, we love to tout our latest win, our best client, and the coolest new project. But business longevity hinges just as much on knowing when to say “no” and move on. We often find ourselves in relationships that aren’t good for our business – whether it’s because the project is not what you thought it would be, because of interpersonal incompatibility, or a change in focus. How do you know when it is the right time to fire a client? What are the best methods and tactics? How do you get out of a contract – and how do you write contracts to allow for termination? We’ll be discussing these topics and more. Maybe you have that one client you are considering dropping – we’ll help you talk it through and consider the options. Bring your stories of ending client relationships, and be ready to share and support others.
